Danielle was born on May 22nd, 1984 in San Diego, CA. At a very early age she was encouraged to express herself artistically as her mother was both a gifted musician and an exceptional theater actress. By the time Danielle was 7 years old, she was singing in the school choir, performing in local theater groups and acting in school plays. As a family standard, her mother insisted that both she and her two younger sisters learn to play and read music. Danielle chose to learn the clarinet. She took lessons and rapidly began to excel in her studies. She performed in national competitions and various commencement ceremonies. She continued to sing in school and church choirs and in the summer of 97’ she was accepted to a music program in Boston, MA. It was there that Danielle discovered the piano. During her breaks between Theory and Composition she would sneak off to the piano room and tinker around. “I loved the sound… the level of emotion that could be pulled out of a single instrument. That was something that the clarinet could never do for me.”
